Ron Kincaid: Advocate, Coach, Citizen Candidate for the U.S. Senate

Ron Kincaid has spent his life fighting for those too often left behind — from the halls of advocacy to the sidelines of the Special Olympics. A life-long Ohio resident, Ron was a leader in a multi-year effort to establish the first formal statewide treatment program for children diagnosed with autism, changing the future for countless families across the state. His work wasn’t just about policy — it was about people.

As a Special Olympics coach, Ron sees every week what communities can do when we invest in every person’s potential. He brings that same passion to the issues that matter most to working families: safe and affordable housing, access to quality health care, and an education system designed to prepare our children for tomorrow's world — not yesterday's.

Ron believes that every Ohioan — every American — deserves not just the chance to work but the economic security and dignity that allow people to thrive. He supports a livable wage and a long-overdue American Dividend — a guaranteed basic income to provide stability and a buffer against life's unforeseen emergencies. Ron knows it's time to rework our outdated safety net programs with bold, modern policies that encourage work rather than punishing it.

Ron's approach to policy is driven by a commitment to practical solutions. While a proud Democrat, Ron strongly believes that our government works best when we set aside the political games and focus on solving problems together. While he disagrees with many Republican policies, he is deeply disillusioned by the bitter partisanship that dominates today’s politics. He knows Congress can find common ground — if we bring respect, decency, and a willingness to listen back to the table.

Ron has launched an exploratory effort for the United States Senate — to be a voice of integrity and cooperation, fighting for an Ohio where opportunity is real, dignity is protected, and every voice matters.

• Economic Security for All: A livable wage and a guaranteed basic income.
• Modernizing the Safety Net: Let people retain Medicaid after returning to work — no one should choose between a job and their health.
• Health Care Access: Quality, affordable care as a right — not a privilege.
• Women’s Health and Rights: Support for access to comprehensive reproductive health care, including the right to choose, because every woman deserves control over her own body and future.
• Securing Our Climate, Powering Our Future: A healthy future is a human right. The science is clear: climate change is real and urgent. But it’s also an opportunity. By investing in clean energy, we can cut pollution, create good-paying jobs, and build lasting energy independence.
• Standing with Workers, Building with Unions: I support the right of workers to organize and bargain for better wages, safer conditions, and secure benefits. Union jobs built the middle class, and they’ll help rebuild it—whether in clean energy, manufacturing, education, or public service. I’ll fight to protect the right to organize and expand good-paying union jobs across Ohio.
• Education for the Future: Schools that prepare kids for tomorrow's economy, not yesterday’s.
• Housing: Safe, affordable housing as the foundation of opportunity.
• Real Immigration Reform: Support for the bipartisan Senate immigration package that balanced stronger border enforcement with a path to legal status — a serious solution that unfortunately became a casualty of election-year political gamesmanship.
