TL;DR: Ohio workers are rising—from aerospace engineers to teachers’ aides—demanding fair pay, safe workplaces, and respect. Ron Kincaid stands with them. Union jobs built the middle class, and strengthening organized labor is how we rebuild it.
Ohio Workers on the Frontlines
Ohio has always been a union state. From auto plants to public schools, our workers have powered the economy and held communities together. Today, they’re on the frontlines again—organizing for better wages, safer conditions, and a voice on the job. Whether it’s striking nurses in Dayton or Amazon workers in Columbus, the message is clear: solidarity is back.
- In July, UAW members at GE Aerospace overwhelmingly authorized a strike at plants in Ohio and Kentucky, demanding stronger contracts that protect jobs as new technology reshapes the industry.
- Earlier this year, school support staff in central Ohio walked out for better pay and respect—reminding all of us that the people who feed and transport our children deserve fair treatment too.
These aren’t just isolated disputes. They are signs of a working class tired of being left behind while corporations post record profits.
Why Union Jobs Matter
Union jobs don’t just lift up workers—they lift up entire communities:
- Better wages: On average, union workers earn about 10–15% more than their non-union counterparts in the same roles (BLS data).
- Safer workplaces: Strong contracts mean better safety standards, fewer injuries, and more accountability.
- Stronger communities: Union pensions and health benefits ripple outward, sustaining small businesses and local economies.
It’s no coincidence that Ohio’s middle class was strongest when union density was highest.
Ron’s Commitment to Workers’ Rights
Ron Kincaid has been clear: he supports the right of workers to organize and bargain for fair pay, safe workplaces, and secure benefits.
As your next U.S. Senator, Ron will:
- Back the PRO Act, which strengthens the right to organize and closes loopholes corporations use to block unions.
- Protect prevailing wage laws to ensure public projects create good-paying jobs.
- Defend pensions and retirement security, so workers get what they’ve earned.
Ron will never side with out-of-state corporations over Ohio’s workers.
Building the Middle Class Again
Union jobs built the middle class. They turned dangerous, low-paid factory work into stable, family-sustaining careers. They gave teachers, nurses, and public employees a voice in the workplace.
Ron Kincaid believes the future can—and must—be the same. That means standing shoulder-to-shoulder with striking workers, listening to their concerns, and ensuring Ohio leads the way in building an economy that rewards hard work.
👉 Add your name to stand with Ohio’s workers. Together, we’ll rebuild the middle class by putting people, not corporations, first.
